Before Your Treatment
✔ Schedule with Recovery in Mind:
While microneedling has minimal downtime, expect 24-48 hours of redness and sensitivity. Plan your treatment when you can avoid major events, workouts, or sun exposure for a few days.
✔ Prep Your Skin (as recommended by your provider):
Avoid retinoids, acids, exfoliants, or harsh products for at least 3–5 days before.
No tanning or sunburns for 1 week prior.
Discontinue blood-thinning supplements (like fish oil or vitamin E) if advised.
If prone to cold sores, let your provider know—you may need antiviral medication.
✔ Arrive with Clean Skin:
Please come makeup-free if possible. Avoid heavy skincare products the morning of your appointment.
During Your Treatment
✔ What to Expect:
A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure for comfort. You may feel light pressure or a scratching sensation, but most clients find it very tolerable.
✔ Customizable Depths:
The treatment depth is adjusted based on your skin concerns—deeper for acne scarring or wrinkles, lighter for texture or tone.
Aftercare and Recovery
✔ Immediate Effects:
Your skin will look red, like a mild sunburn, and may feel warm or tight. This typically resolves within 24–72 hours, depending on depth.
✔ Post-Treatment Tips:
Use only gentle, hydrating, and soothing products recommended by your provider.
Avoid sun exposure, sweating, and active skincare for at least 24–48 hours.
Do not pick or exfoliate flaking skin—let it shed naturally.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily after the initial recovery period.
